Impressive CVs has produced templates to work from,
instructions of what needs to be included under each heading,
and several examples of CVs and Cover Letters.
We have two levels: Starter Package
and Professional/Executive Package
Starter Package
This package is for School leavers, Graduates and Entry-level job seekers (i.e. those with less than two years’ work experience).
What is included?
- A single template, which provides all the headings and the order in which information is to be presented. In each section, detailed advice is provided as to what needs to be incorporated/discussed in each section;
- An accompanying CV guide, which acts as an appendix to the template. It provides further detail of what to include and CV and Cover Letter Tips;
- Four CV Examples;
- Four Cover Letter Examples – two specific and two speculative;
- A Professional Profile form with a detailed list of all possible attributes that could be included in you Profile Statement; and
- An Excel document providing a list of numerous action verbs, power words and positive descriptions.
Professional/Executive Package
This package is for those with established careers and/or those wishing to change career. So those with more than two years work experience in non-managerial, management or board level positions.
What is included?
- A Chronological template - this CV type highlights work history and is for candidates who have no major time gaps and fewer employer changes. The template provides all the headings and the order in which information is to be presented. In each section, detailed advice is provided as to what needs to be incorporated/discussed in each section;
- A Functional template – this CV type is for those who are changing career/work direction and those that have significant gaps in their career. It is skills-led type approach focusing on transferable skills, with very little emphasis on career history. The template provides all the headings and the order in which information is to be presented. In each section, detailed advice is provided as to what needs to be incorporated/discussed in each section;
- An accompanying CV guide, which acts as an appendix to the template. It provides further detail of what to include and CV and Cover Letter Tips;
- Six CV Examples;
